Boxing Day!! YAY!

We hope everyone was able to get out and get lots of shopping done and took advantage of all the good deals (if there were any!). Today, was a day of relaxation and sleeping. Both J and I took advantage of my second day off in a row (!!!!) and slept in as well as slept whenever we could. L also woke up later than usual today and as a result didn't take a nap, so she went down to bed pretty early. We were also able to do some winter cleaning. J finally got rid of all her CA school materials (papers, books, study materials, etc...) and I was able to see the top of my desk! It was a good day today overall.

Some thoughts on N and his standard progression of growth:
1) He is now about 9.4 lbs. Unofficially of course as the only way we could weigh him was by me stepping on the scale, then with N, then take the difference.
2) N was awake for 3 hours this afternoon. That's a long time considering it's 1/8th of the day and he usually is asleep for more than half the day and the rest of the day is spent pooping and feeding.
3) He is starting to smile! Yes, he is smirking and also it seems like he's laughing as well, especially when he sees or hears J, L or I laugh.
4) He is a strong baby. He is holding his head up and looking around to all the sounds and it seems like he is able to recognize his name as he turns whenever we call him.
5) He poops and pees.... a lot.
6) I have learnt to change diapers really, really, really fast. Why? Well with boys, you pee up in the air and not down... therefore, you take your time, be prepared to get sprayed. Just ask J. She got sprayed tonight (finally!) and it was a little funny I must admit.

Generally, we have been getting caught up on sleep and spending some quality time at home. Also due to the fact that J is barred from leaving the house until AT LEAST 21 days after the birth (countdown is at Jan 5, 10 days left). Good night everyone and tomorrow brings a new day and new adventures.
