Wowee! Enough for Twins?!?!

I don't remember blogging about J's fear of not having enough milk for baby L. So, here's the story first. When we were in the hospital, L would not breastfeed and J was worried that L was not getting enough milk to grow. Why? Well, because L lost some weight (this is normal for ALL babies, just in case you didn't know). So, J started to pump the milk and eventually got a lot coming out and since then J has been pumping ~8 times a day, roughly the feeding schedule of L. We have been giving L bottles since we came out of the hospital and she has been feeding quite a lot (~100 mL/day). Since breastfeeding is the best way to feed L, we went to a specialist today.
Roar! I'm gonna eat you!

The specialist helps with latching, feeding, secrets and tips for easier feeding. At the doctor's office, she asked a lot of questions (like any new doctor's appointment right?). The question came up, "Are you pumping? and if so, how much?" Well obviously we have to answer honestly. So our answer, "We are, roughly 8x/day. We are getting around 3-4 ounces each breast." The doctor was surprised! Quite surprised! Her response, "THAT'S ENOUGH FOR TWINS!" Needless to say, both J and I were shocked =O but at the same time I was almost laughing. So much for not enough milk eh? Ha ha, so now baby L is breastfeeding properly now and not causing mommy any pain. We are going to see the doctor next week to see how L is doing and to get some more tips and tricks.
Burp! I'm full!

Oh on a side not, baby is now 3803 grams. If you recall, she was at 3580 grams when she was born. She gained almost 300 g in 10 days! Wow!

Today, baby L also took a bath. Baths are getting better, less crying and whining =) Hopefully, soon, she will be content with getting in the bath with mommy.

Daddy! It's cold outside!
